What is in Pulse today, and what is next
Everything below is either working now, working with a limit we have written down, or something we have not started. There are no version numbers because Pulse does not have versions: every change goes live when it is ready.
In the product today
Working end to end. Nothing on this list has a caveat, which is why the next list exists separately.
Pipeline board
LiveOne board per role, with your own stages. Add, rename, reorder and delete columns, and the record of who reached each stage survives the edit.
Candidates and companies
LiveOne record per person and per company, with every note and stage move on a single timeline, attributed to the teammate who made it.
Open a role from a pasted job description
LivePaste the brief you were sent. Pulse reads back the title, the location and the must-haves it actually found, and you correct anything before the role opens. It never invents a salary the brief did not state.
Sourcing
LiveFind people who are not in your database yet, with their current role, their employer and what does and does not fit the brief. Every reason quotes the record it was read from, and a reason that cannot quote one is not shown.
Shortlists
LiveBuild a shortlist from your pipeline and send your client a link they can open without an account. You choose what it shows before it goes.
The shared task list
LiveWhat the desk owes, who is carrying it, and what is already late. Add one by typing a sentence.
Reports
LiveWhere people leave the process, how long each stage takes, and which client is slowest to come back to you.
The BD strategist
LiveAsk about a market, a company or a role and get an answer with its sources listed. An answer it cannot source is refused rather than guessed.
Two factor authentication
LiveAn authenticator app plus single use recovery codes, shown once. Asked for again when you reset a password, not only when you sign in.
Built, with a limit worth knowing about
These are shipped and you can use them today. Each one has a boundary you would find on your own, so it is written down here instead.
Inviting your team
Live, with a limitInvite a teammate with a role, change it later, or remove them. The last owner cannot be removed or demoted, and that is enforced in the database rather than in the screen.
Pulse does not send the invitation email. You get a link and pass it on yourself, by Slack or however you normally reach them. There is no email sender in the product yet.
Notification preferences
Live, with a limitChoose which events reach you in the app, event by event, and mute everything for a while when you need to.
The email column is switched off rather than hidden, because there is no email sender yet. Showing you the choice that is coming beats pretending it does not exist.
LinkedIn publishing
Live, with a limitPlan posts on a calendar in your own voice, connect LinkedIn once, and publish from Pulse.
Text only. A post with an image attached publishes its text. Engagement figures come back only for posts Pulse sent, and an account without LinkedIn analytics reports no impressions at all, which we show as not reported rather than as zero.
What we are building next
A quarter is when we expect to start, not a date we have promised you. We build in the order agencies tell us hurts most, so this order changes. When it does, this page changes with it.
Paying for Pulse from inside Pulse
BuildingSubscribing, changing a card and finding an invoice, handled by a payment provider so card details never reach us. Pilot agencies are set up by hand until this is switched on.
A status page hosted away from the product
BuildingMoving the status page onto separate infrastructure, so it can still tell you what is wrong when the product is the thing that is wrong.
Sending email from Pulse
LaterOne way of sending, covering invitations, updates to candidates, and the notification choices that are drawn but switched off today. This single change closes more of the gaps on this page than anything else on it.
Booking interviews
LaterArranging an interview from the candidate record and having it land in your calendar. It needs the sending above and a calendar connection, in that order, which is why it is not sooner.
Images and video on LinkedIn posts
LaterPublishing a post with its media attached rather than its text alone. It needs a different transport to the one publishing uses today.
SOC 2 Type II
LaterThe audit larger buyers ask for. It requires months of observed evidence, so the earliest honest answer is well after the founding pilot. What we hold and what we are deliberately not pursuing is on the security page.
